Offered in this lot we have the "Yellowstone National Park Photograph Portfolio" by Franz Lipp, copyright 1951, printed by Henry Regnery Co. The collection consists of twelve (12) black and white photograph prints: six of landscapes and six of animals. This Portfolio, the first of a series, contains twelve outstanding examples taken from the Franz Lipp Collection of photographic studies of Yellowstone National Park. The formed part of the 1951 summer exhibition of this collection at the Art Institute of Chicago and subsequent later showings at various museums and schools throughout the country. The second page of this Portfolio has descriptive notes for each photograph. These photographs are in good overall condition, no marring noted, Portfolio envelope with bear cub photograph on the front is tattered, stains, age tanning noted and measures 10.5"W x 14.5"L. Photographs measure 10"W x 13.5"L approximately.
