This lot is a collection of eighty-two (82) vintage postcards, some from the early 1900s to mid 60s, of the world's first national park, Yellowstone National Park and of other Western US locations and their majestic wildlife. Many of the postcards are colorized as was the style during the early years of picture postcards. Many postcards depict photographs from renown "official" Yellowstone park photographer F. Jay Haynes, whose photographs are highly prized collectibles.
These are a great view at life in a part of the country that has been the source of inspiration for hundreds of books, art, and movies for generations and still today.
The cards are in excellent condition, some are vintage colorized, very vivid colours. Measurements average 5.5"H x 3.5"W, a few are 6.5"H x 4.25"W, whole lot is 4.5"D
