For your consideration is this Yoktus stone spade found in Los Banos, Merced County. The Yokuts are an ethnic group of Native Americans native to central California. Before European contact, the Yokuts consisted of up to 60 tribes speaking several related languages. This stone spade shows good coloration and is well preserved and found in the territory previously under Kahwatchwah Yokuts Indian control. The condition of this spade is good and shows no obvious signs of damage; it is in good display, museum quality condition. The measurements of this stone spade are 14 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 1 3/4".
