Featured in this lot is this pair of Zadok .925 sterling silver Israeli Kiddish goblets circa 1960's. The goblets feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and eilat gemstone construction. Eilat stone, also known as King Solomon stone, is a green-blue gemstone named after the city of Eilat in Israel where it was once mined. It's a mixture of several copper-based minerals, including malachite, azurite, turquoise, pseudomalachite, and chrysocolla. It's the national stone of Israel and has been used in jewelry since ancient times. There are two goblets in this collection both with intricate decoration to the outside side walling of the goblets with a total of six eilat gemstone cabochon adorning the goblets as well. The goblets are marked as follows: Zasok - .925 - Israel. The condition of this pair of Israeli goblets is well preserved with heavy patina adorning the smaller goblet but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of these goblets is 7 1/4" x 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" and 5 5/8" x 3" x 3". The collective weight of these goblets is 10oz.
