Featured in this lot is this Zapotec Hern, pre-Hispanic pictorial Saltillo rug. The rug shows a white field with a Zapotec pictorial effigy of a hern, which was considered the bird of the Mayans. The age of this rug is unknown, but it shows patterns consistent with a pre-Hispanic peoples. The condition of this rug is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of the pictorial Saltillo rug are 46" x 29".
