For bidding in this lot is a Zeiss Ikon Contax IIa 35mm film camera, originating from circa 1950's. The camera is paired with a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 1:2 f=5cm lens. The Zeiss Contax was introduced as Zeiss' answer to Leica's offerings in the 35mm market, one Leica effectively controlled since it helped to create it in 1925. Overall, the camera shows good aesthetic condition, but has not been tested. The camera, outside of its leather carry case measures 6" wide, 2 3/8" deep, and 3 3/8" tall.
