For your consideration is this original Zuni Effie Calavaza snake bracelet with turquoise eyes constructed of sterling silver and further set with beautiful turquoise and branch coral. Effie Calavaza is a Zuni Silversmith whose work has captured the hearts of many collectors. She was born in 1928 and started making jewelry in her early years with her iconic snake or coiling snake with turquoise or coral eyes design is one of the most collected designs. Now in her 90's with fewer pieces being found and offered her work has become even more collectible. The piece features three cabochons of Sleeping Beauty turquoise and two cabochons of red branch coral with sterling beads set in between them. The two snake heads each feature two small cabochons of Sleeping Beauty turquoise set in the eyes. The bracelet is signed "EFFIE C. ZUNI" and is in solid sterling silver. The bracelet measures an inside circumference of approx. 6 3/8" which includes the 1 1/4" opening. The width of the bracelet is 3/8" and it weighs 18.6 grams.
