For your consideration a Zuni American Indian sun face set in a silver bracelet and ring. The intricate work by Zuni Pueblo artists Sadie and Morris Laahte are a husband-wife team that are known for their precise mosaic inlay work in jewelry making. One of their favorite designs is the Sunface and this is one of their earlier pieces that depicts this with inlaid mother of pearl, coral, turquoise and onyx. Both of these pieces have the artists insignia, The Sunface representing the Sun Father, one of their three main deities in Zuni culture. The Sun Father represents abundance, continuity, stability, positivity, hope, happiness and peace. The colors on the top of the sunface represent the eternal rising and setting of the sun and the face represents the connection to humanity. Ring size a US 6.5, the sun face on the ring is a diameter of 3 inches and an 1 inch across and the cuff is 5 inches in circumference and the largest sun face is 1 ¾” across and the smaller sun faces are 1” across.
