Featured in this lot is this Zuni L/L Dickson silver inlay mosaic jewelry circa 1960's. There is a bracelet, a necklace, and earrings in this collection. The jewelry set has a pendants of blook borders with Zurvi sun faces set into the center the outside is inlay with labradorite and the sun faces are inlay with red branch coral, turquoise, mother of pearl, and jet semi precious stones. The necklace and bracelet is marked as follows: L/L Dickson. The Dickson family is known in the Zuni community for their contributions to jewelry-making. Zuni Sunfaces, also known as Zuni Sunface symbols, are important motifs in Zuni culture and are frequently used in their art and jewelry. The Sunface represents the Sun Father, a central figure in Zuni cosmology and religious practices. It embodies the qualities of warmth, growth, and prosperity, and is seen as a symbol of balance and harmony within the universe. The condition of this jewelry set is good with a slight patina to the silver but otherwise shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this jewelry set is 2" x 2 5/8" x 1 3/8" and shows a inner measurement of 5 1/2 and a internal circumference including the space of 6 1/2"; the necklace measures from clasp to clasp is 17 1/2"; and the earrings measure 3/4" x 3/4" x 3/8". The collective weight of this jewelry set is 65.4g.
