Presented in this lot is an Original Vintage Signed Zuñi Roderick Kaskalla Sterling Silver Red Coral Inlay Cuff Bracelet. Award winning and noted Zuñi jewelry designer, Rod Kaskalla specializes in channel inlay, geometric & abstract designs. The Zuñi are known for being especially rooted in spiritualism and tradition, and both elements shine through in Zuñi jewelry and artwork. For centuries, the Zuñi people have been highly skilled lapidary artists, passing down stone cutting techniques from generation to generation. Once they learned silversmithing, their jewelry work really came into its own. Today, Zuñi silver jewelry pays homage to the past, while continuing to look towards the future. Zuñi work is very detailed, delicate and extremely time consuming. Six intricate red coral inlay stones are featured on this beautiful sterling silver cuff bracelet. Wearing red coral jewelry would create luck, increase fertility, cure illness increase the wearer's lifespan. Wearing red coral jewelry also signified social prominence. Measures 2.25"L x 2"W, weight 6.7 grams.
