Offered in this lot are spinel gemstones in eleven varying cuts. Although spinel has been used in jewelry since ancient times, this gemstone has only recently received the attention it deserves. The first collection is of black spinel, there are three stones one heart cut 6x6mm, one oval cut 4x6mm, and one round cut 8mm, for a total weight of 3.5 CT. The second group is also Black Spinel with nine stones for a total weight of 30.0 CT. six are square cut, and three are heart shape. The following groups are of assorted colors. The third group is a collection of unpolished multi-color spinel with a total weight of 76CT. The fourth set are two pear cut stones one 4.6x3.0mm, one 4.3x3mm with a total weight of 0.29 CT. The fifth set is a fancy square cut with a weight of .73CT. The sixth set is two 4mm x 3mm, and two 5mmX4mm oval cut with a total weight of 0.89 CT. The seventh set is one 4.8mm, one 6mm, two 5mm round cut stones making a total weight of 2.0CT. The eighth set is four 4mm round cut stones with a total weight of 1.16CT. The ninth set is one 6.11x5.70mm, one 5.3x5.6mm, one 5.30x5.00mm, one 5.00x4.50mm and one 4.50x4.20mm oval cut stones with a total weight of 3.0CT. The tenth set is oval cut, one 6x8mm, one 6.40x4.75mm, one 6.70x5.10mm, one 4.25x6.00mm, and one 4.50x6.00mm for a total weight of 4.0CT. The 11th set is one 4.65x6.00mm, one 4.80x5.60mm, one 4.75X5.35mm, one 4.25x5.40mm for a total weight of 2.5CT all in a cushion cut.
