Featured in this lot we have a W-Bond converted percussion cap London pistol originating from 1780 with original letters from 1955. The pistol was originally manufactured as a flint lock style pistol in 1780, but was converted to a percussion cap firing mechanism in 1820. The pistol displays a brass 6 3/4" long smooth bore barrel, brass trigger guard, brass pommel plate, and a steel lock plate and hammer. The top of the barrel displays manufacture and import stamps and marked "London". The brass trigger and guard and brass pommel show engraved designed across the pieces. The lock plate shows etched floral designs and marked "M Bond" across the side. The pistol comes with four pieces of ephemera including three letters from 1955 from P.C.L. German, and the duplicate receipt for the purchase of the pistol in 1954. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
