Featured in this lot we have a London Warranted British trade percussion cap musket originating from the 1840's. The musket displays a 42" long smooth bore barrel, brass trigger guard, hard wood stock, percussion cap hammer system, etched lock plate, wood ram rod, and brass butt plate. The lock plate shows etched designs and is marked "LONDON WARRANTED". The barrel is marked with three import and manufacturer stamps. The action shows good condition overall with the trigger sticking and needs to be moved forward to catch the hammer. The rifle shows a warm patina across the metal with a warm finish across the wood stock. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
