These beads, manufactured in Holland or possibly Germany, were traded to the Dogon people of Mali around the 18th C. There are sixty-two sky blue trade beads adorning these two necklaces, with eleven navy blue and one milky white on one necklace. The Dutch traded this style of beads with the Dogon people in exchange for furs, raw materials, and slaves. The measurements of these trade beads necklaces are 26" around. With the beads averaging 1/2". The condition of these beads is fair, with all beads present and some small signs of rupturing to a few beads.
