For your consideration in this lot is an 1865 cast iron hand-crank food chopper. This gear driven chopper is in working order. When the handle turns, it raises and lowers the blade and turns the compartment to give an even chop. There is rust, showing the age of the piece, but this piece is still a wonderful showpiece. The compartment is 8" across and 5 1/2" deep. The chopper is on a wood base that measures 7" x 16" x 1 1/4" and is up on four 3/4" round peg feet.
