For your consideration is this pair of C.C. Houghton & Co. Worcester, MA military boots circa 1866. These boots show their manufacturers mark on the top front portion of the left boot. These boots came in a trunk with clothes and papers belonging to a Leonden G Groiver. The paper work consisted of letters and official documents related to his service with Co. G 30th Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment. These boots come with an original envelope that was found inside this pair of boots. The condition of this pair of boots is good considering their age and the road they travelled; showing wear consistent with their age service. The measurements of this pair of boots are 14 1/2" x 11" x 3 1/2".
