This book contains the 1872 preliminary report of the 1871 United States Geological Survey of Montana and portions of adjacent territories. It is the fifth annual report of progress by F.V. Hayden (United States Geologist), conducted under the authority of the Secretary of the Interior. It was printed in Washington by the Government Printing Office. The condition of this book is good for its age; it has some wear to the corner and the spine of the book. The measurements of this U.S. survey book are 9 1/4" x 6".
