In this lot are two 1880-1920 unmarked Nottingham style wood fishing reels with brass fittings. The first of these reels is a 1920 style; it is 3 1/2" in diameter and has a 1" wide line cradle, brass hardware, and a free spool button. This reel has a brass star back and brass foot. This reel does not turn. The wood and brass on this spool are in great condition, with a few screws having been replaced. The center nut is aluminum. The second reel is much older and is in the 1880's style. It is 3 ½" in diameter with a 3/4" wide line bed. This spool turns with some light rubbing, and all the screws appear to be original brass. The spool has a single back spine and brass foot.
