For your consideration is this 1889 first edition of “The Life of Kit Carson” by Edward S. Ellis. This book is about Kit Carson, an iconic hunter, trapper, guide, Indian agent, and a Colonel in the United States Military. The cover is in green linen with black printing of Carson and mountains with a blue sky; on the spine are black firearms on a blue background. The condition of this book is good, with no obvious signs of damage and a good, tight binding; there is wear and browning consistent with the age of the book, but it is in good overall condition. The measurements of this book are 7 3/4" x 5 1/2".
