This lot features a fantastic solid mahogany American Chippendale style partner's desk dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. The desk features solid mahogany wood carving in the very similar, if not matching, features from documented English and American Chippendale examples. The desk has cabriole highly-carved legs with ball and claw feet and column pillar corners and a carved integral molding framing the top. The desk opening has a cutout frieze which is mirrored on both sides. The desk shows five drawers on both sides, ten total drawers, each having solid brass polished hardware and dovetail construction. Three drawers along the top row of both sides have the original brass skeleton key locking hardware, but the key is not present. The desk is well made and truly beautiful, possibly of an earlier age. There is some wear as shown in the photographs, but overall the desk is in solid, well-kept condition. Review pictures for detailed condition. Measures overall
