Featured in this lot is a total of 129 checks from various towns and companies in Montana dated from 1890-1902. The checks come from towns in Montana such as, Dillon, Virginia City and Ennis with the banks being the Madison Valley Bank, Henry Elling Banker and the Elling State Bank. Many of the checks are from Virginia, City and the Henry Elling Banker. Most all of the checks have been used, with some showing a purple "Paid" stamp on the front. One stack of checks have been stamped with a paper cut out. The checks show good condition with wear from their antique age and use but show no obvious signs of damage. The largest measures 5 5/8" L x 8 7/16" W, while the smallest measures 2 7/8" L x 7 1/2" W.
