Featured in this lot is this Rare 1893 Executive Edition copy of “Hunting The Grisly", from "The Works of Theodore Roosevelt", P. F. Collier & Son, Publishers New York. Hunters, anglers and lovers of the great outdoors will fall for the many charms of "Hunting the Grisly and Other Sketches", a compendium of ripping yarns from Theodore Roosevelt, the famed outdoorsman and early conservationist who also happened to be the 26th president of the United States. Original frontispiece caption reads, "Mr. Roosevelt hunted in all parts of North America from south western Texas to British Columbia, killing every kind of big game common to the West." This book features content that is illustrated and originally came in a fourteen volume collection. This is only 1/14. Original tissue guard is present and fully attached. Blue cloth debossed gold gilt cover is in good condition, scuffing on edges noted, some gilt is faded. Spine is loose, intact pages have age tanning, slight foxing noted. Measures 5.75"W x 8"L x 1"D
