Featured in this lot we have a Smith & Wesson long barreled 38 Safety Hammerless top break revolver chambered in .38 S&W. The revolver was manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1903 and displays a wonderful nickel and gold finish. This pistol displays a 6" long round solid rib barrel, five shot cylinder, top break, checkered grips, hammerless design, and double action trigger. The piece shows a grip style safety on the back of the grip along with fixed sights. The barrel is marked across the left side reading "38 S. & W. CTG" with the top of the barrel marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D OCT. 2. 1883. AUG. 4. 1885. APR. 9. 1889." with much of the dates faded out. The trigger, trigger guard, cylinder, front sight, and top break release all show a gold finish with the rest of the piece showing the nickel finish. Mechanically the revolver shows good condition with a crisp trigger, smooth cylinder rotation, and proper top break release. The revolver shows good condition overall with some light wear and pitting across the exterior due to age and use. The revolver weighs 1lbs 4oz. Serial Number: 150963. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
