Featured in this lot are photo, comic and letter postcards from various locations such as Canada, Alaska, Montana, Utah, Washington, Indiana and New York. There are four comic postcards, with two being identical. The first shows a man running from a bear while holding a rifle. The postcard reads, "In Haste! - Will Write Later / While The Bolt-Action Rifle May Be More Accurate Than The Lever-Action, There Are Some Classes Of Game On Which Accuracy Is Of Far Less Importance Than Speed". The second postcard reads, "Big Game Hunter's Assistant Mounts His Share Of The Trophies" and shows a butler with his trophy mounts, but they are all the behinds of the animals the hunter has shot. The final two comic postcards show a man going underneath a locked door that has a 5 cent fee to open. It reads, "Trying To Beat The Jackpot". There are four letter postcards. The first two are titled "House Hunting", the third is titled "Gentlemen" and talks about paying back owed money and the fourth is a letter to a Mr. Frank C. Sigel from Phil Pott & P. Moore Brokers from Butte, Montana talking about stocks and bonds. There are five photo postcards. The first shows a small lone cabin, location unknown, on someone's property. The second shows an explosion at the Hickman Bridge in Utah, breaking up ice in the river. The third shows the Spencer Round Up Crew in Western Canada. The fourth shows the first prize winners of a Marching Band Competition at the World's fair in Chicago, and the fifth and final one shows Eberl's Blacksmith Shop in Washington. The final two postcards feature rifles and the history of them. The first is from Fort Wayne 7, Indiana and features a muzzle loading Model 500 rifle. The front shows a photo of the rifle while the back features a brief write up on the history of the rifle. The second one is from Johnson Automatics in New York City, New York and features the Johnson Long-Range Semi-Auctomatic Rifle on the front, with a list of statistics of the gun on the back of the postcard. The postcards all show good condition with little wear from their vintage age. All postcards are in good display condition. The largest postcard measures 3 1/2" L x 5 3/8" W, while the smallest measures 2 11/16" L x 4 1/2" W.
