For your consideration is this 1917 first edition copy of The Cruise of the Corwin by John Muir. Muir was a Scottish-American naturalist who campaigned extensively for the preservation of America's wilderness lands. He co-founded the Sierra Club and is often referred to as the "Father of the National Parks". The book details the Journals of the Artic Expedition of 1881 in search of De Long and the Jeannette. The book displays 28 black and white photo illustrations. The book shows a green cloth cover with white lettering and a image of a ship traveling through ice flows. The condition of this book is good with some wear from age to the cover and the spine of the book; the pages show slight browning with some wear to the inside spine of the book. The measurements of this book is 8 1/2" x 5 3/4".
