For your consideration is this large, American Frohse pull down anatomical chart depicting the human head and neck published by A.J. Nystrom & Co., in Chicago. Plate No. 7 is an influential series of large, highly detailed color and numbered lithographs initiated by German anatomist and doctor Fritz Frohse. The chart was annotated in English, edited, revised and augmented by Max Brodel, whose hand written signature is seen three times on the chart reading, "Max Brodel 1919" in black ink. Figure 1 shows the median section through the head, Figure 2 shows the lateral view of the upper and lower jaws, Figure 3 shows the mouth cavity, Figure 4 shows the Coronal section of the neck, and Figure 5 shows the horizontal section of the neck. The top of the chart reads, "American Frohse Anatomical Charts, Edited, Revised, And Augmented By Max Brodel / Plate No. 7". The bottom of the chart reads, "A.J. Nystrom & Co. Publishers, Chicago / Plate No. 7 / Copy-right by A.J. Nystrom & Co. All Rights Reserved Fro All Countries". The chart is set on heavy canvas backed paper and a wood bar and roller. The colored lithographs show high detail and amazing color throughout the piece. The bottom of the wood roller shows a sticker reading, "Head & Neck Frohse Anatomical No. FA 7". The chart shows good condition overall with faint wear to the edges and cracks in the heavy paper but still in very readable condition. The chart measures 75" L x 46 1/2" W.
