Featured in this lot is this 1918 Helena, Montana Stationary Engineer's License. The license is an undersigned, Boiler inspector for the State of Montana and certifies Valentino Tilbert and qualifys him as a third class Engineer of Stationary Steam Engines and gives him the right to be entrusted with the powers and duties of a third class Stationary Engineer for the State of Montana and is considered a Renewal License for 1918. A stationary engineer (also called an operating engineer, power engineer or process operator) is a technically trained professional who operates, troubleshoots and oversees industrial machinery and equipment that provide and utilize energy in various forms. The condition of this Stationary Engineer's License is preserved with browning to the license and some wear or smudge marks to the license and shows a chip in the bottom right corner of glass but otherwise is preserved. The measurements of this framed license is 12 1/8" x 13 7/8" and the visible license measures 9 1/8" x 10 7/8". The collective weight of this license is 1lb 14oz.
