Featured in this lot is this 1920 first edition The Arikara Narrative of the Campaign Against the Hostile Dakotas June, 1876 by Elizabeth Bacon Custer. The book comprises vol. VI of the North Dakota Historical Collections, and includes personal accounts of the Arikara Indians, who served as scouts for Custer. The book comes complete with a museum or collectors tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 O'dell. The condition of this book is well preserved with little wear to the corners but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this book is 9 3/4" x 6 1/2". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 10oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
