Featured in this lot we have a Iranian Bakhtiari Garden panel style hand knotted wool area rug originating from the 1920's. The rug features a fine detailed design, floral panel pattern, and a tight weave with 118 knots per sq inch. The rug was hand knotted in Cahar Mahal and Bakhtriari located in Western Iran. The Bakhtiari garden panel rugs are known for there geometric and paneled design with floral and animal designs. The piece shows wonderful tight weave with geometric floral designs. The piece shows a tight weave with colors of red, blue, orange, tan, white, green, and yellow. This rug shows excellent condition with some light wear and fading. The rug measures 131" wide by 162" long.
