For your consideration is this 1928 First Edition of “The Making of Buffalo Bill: A Study in Heroics” by Richard J. Walsh in collaboration with Milton S. Salsbury, The Bobbs-Merrill Company Indianapolis Publishers. Thirty-two illustrations, pictorial map rear endpaper, "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show" advertisement poster on front endpaper. An accurate biography of legendary William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, the Pony Express rider, military scout, buffalo hunter, Indian fighter & recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. During his life he was associated with famous characters of the American West such as George Armstrong Custer, Doc Carver, Calamity Jane, Captain Jack Crawford, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Annie Oakley, Sitting Bull & Major John Burke. A must-have for any collector interested in Western Americana culture. The green cloth bound gold gilt hardcover is in good condition, gold gilt still bright with slight fading on spine. Intact pages feature deckled fore edge, age tanning noted. Measures 5.75"W x 8.75"L x 1.5"D, weight is 1lb, 10oz.
