Included in this lot is a Bijar Persian, hand knotted wool runner rug originating from 1930's. The rug features a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Bijar Persian rugs are hand woven in the town of Bijar and surrounding villages located northwest of Iran in the Kurdistan province. The Bijar rugs are known for their high durability and compact weave. The piece displays colorful geometric floral patterns across the center, with the triple border showing geometric flower designs. The piece shows a tight weave with colors of red, blue, green, tan, orange, and brown. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 43" wide by 127" long.
