Included in this lot is a Bijar Persian hand knotted wool runner rug originating from the 1930's. The rug features a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Bijar Persian rugs are hand woven in the town of Bijar and the surrounding villages located northwest of Iran in the Kurdistan province. The Bijar rugs are known for their high durability and compact weave. The piece displays a wonderful, tight geometric floral pattern, with the border showing floral designs. The piece shows a tight weave with colors of red, blue, orange, green, and white. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 41" wide by 109" long.
