Included in this lot is a Kashan Persian, hand knotted wool area rug, originating from the 1930's. This is a wonderfully patterned Persian rug shown from a city in the northern part of Isafahan province, Iran. The rug has lovely designs and a high thread count. The medallion and corner pattern on an ornately patterned floral field is a trademark of Kashan rugs. The colors used in the design is usually a combination of deep blues, rich reds, and cream with occasional splotches of yellow, green, and burnt orange. The rug features four borders, each showing geometric floral designs. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 114" wide by 157" long.
