Included in this lot is a Kashan Persian, hand knotted wool runner rug originating from the 1930's. This is a wonderfully patterned Persian rug shown from a city in the northern part of Isafahan province, Iran. It has lovely designs and high thread count. The medallion and corner pattern on an ornately patterned floral field is a trademark of Kashan rugs. The colors used in the design is usually a combination of deep blues, rich reds, and ivory, with occasional splotches of yellow, green, and burnt orange. The rug features four borders, each showing geometric floral designs. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 3' 4" wide by 10' 3" long.
