Included in this lot is a Mir Persian hand knotted wool runner rug originating from the 1930's. The rug features a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Mir Persian rugs are hand woven in the Arak province of Western Iran and used to be referred to as Seraband rugs. The Mir rugs are known for their high durability and compact weave. The piece displays a wonderful tight geometric floral pattern, with the border showing floral designs. The piece shows a tight weave with colors of red, dark blue, brown, and tan. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 36 1/4" wide by 73" long.
