For your consideration is this unique 1950-60s taxidermy pheasant diorama set behind glass in an oval frame. The scene shows a snowy landscape with a small house in the background and a bridge going over the small creek. The taxidermy pheasant sits front and center on a snowy rock looking to the right. The pheasant shows colors of black, white, blue, grey and various shades of brown and tan. The painting shows great attention to detail and the pheasant is professionally done. There is an artist signature in the bottom right hand corner of the painting but it is illegible. The oval frame shows good condition overall with some wear to the paint and cracking in the motifs surrounding the frame, but no obvious signs of damage are present on the painting or the pheasant. The diorama measures 4 1/2" L x 40 3/4" W x 24 3/4" H. The diorama weighs approximately 16 pounds.
