This sign is believed to be from the post WWII prosperity era of the early 1950's. The fact that this "development" was advertising to include Negroes is a sign of the changing times in Mississippi. The sign advertises swimming, fishing, boating, picnicking, and cottage sites for sale. The sign is on heavy card stock and measures 14" X 11". There is some staining on the sign, but it is in structurally good condition.
