For your bidding pleasure is this 1950's Navajo Two Grey Hills Sampler Rug. Two Grey Hills rugs present a timeless tradition spanning almost 100 years, Two Grey Hills weavings have long been a source of pride and quality craftsmanship using natural wool not using dyes, showing intricate patterns, and ultimately unique to the Navajo. Each of these hand woven pieces of art are a testament to the dedication and skill of the Navajo weavers. This sampler is in good condition showing a black border with a light brown field; in that field are symmetrical stair brown designs in the corners along with black flares accentuating from a black and white bordered brown pendant with a grey center with black chevrons in the center. Each corner shows matching light brown tassels wit one corner showing some damage to tassel length. The measurements of this sample rug are 20" x 14 1/2".
