For your consideration is this 1960 First Edition of "Frederic Remington's Own West" by Harold McCracken, The Dial Press publisher. This book was written and illustrated by Frederic Remington and edited with an introduction by Harold McCracken, is an anthology of painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer Frederic Sackrider Remington (1861-1909), illustrated with more than one hundred of his famous drawings. "Frederic Remington's Own West" provides an exciting record of the Old West as it once was, with tales of cowboys, Indians, and soldiers. Selected essays arranged to form an autobiographical sequence. An excellent approach to understanding Remington whose works are a history of America's Old West. The plum coloured cloth bound gold gilt hardcover is in very nice condition. Intact pages are in good overall condition with slight age tanning exhibited, no other obvious marring noted. Illustrated paper dust jacket is in good overall condition, some slight tearing, scuffing, age tanning noted. Book measures are 7.25"W x 10.25"L x .75"D, weight is 1lb, 8oz.
