With realistic shading to body, wings, and decoration to the head; this duck is shown with texture to the wings and head consistent with life-like features. Redheads breed in the northern prairies of the United States and Canada and the intermountain marshes of the west. They prefer non-forested environments with water areas sufficiently deep to provide permanent and fairly dense emergent vegetation for nesting. This decoy has a tag that states when the decoy was sold and what that date was; 12/25/79.
