Featured in this lot is this ACME Saloon 8 pair of bone dice circa 19th century; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona and comes complete with a letter confirming the origin written by Joe Soebbing that reads as follows: "These 8 pair of bone Saloon Dice, were purchased in 1991 from Tom Kolbertson of El Paso, Texas who said they were from the ACME Saloon in El Paso. The Acme was made famous because John Wesley Hardin was killed there. I purchased Tom's entire El Paso saloon and Old West paper collection . He is an honorable man and I have no reason to doubt his word on anything." - Joe Soebbing. The condition of this collection of ACME Saloon dice is well preserved with some slight wear due to the age of the dice but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of each of the dice is 1/2" x 1/2". The collective weight of this collection of dice is 57.5g. LO-134
