For your consideration is this 19th century, brass halberd, sugar cutting axe. The axe head shows halberd spike and is mounted on a stained walking stick. These axes were used to cut Sugar loafs, also called cone-shaped blocks. The condition of this sugar cutting axe is fair, with a repair to the walking stick haft. The measurements of this sugar cutting axe are 37 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4".
