Featured in this lot is a "Chuck-a-Luck" dice tumbler circa 19th century from the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The Cuck-a-Luck dice tumbler features a wonderfully and professionally crafted felt and chrome steel construction that shows a bird cage design with three dice interned. The game uses three dice and a cage that is flipped to tumble the dice. Players place bets on numbers 1 through 6, with payouts based on how many dice land on the chosen number. One die showing the chosen number: Even money (1:1). Two dice showing the chosen number: 2:1 payout.Three dice showing the chosen number: 3:1 payout (or higher, depending on the layout). It's also known as "birdcage," "sweat," or "sweat rag". This tumbler was found in Tombstone, A.T., as recorded by The Elliot's of Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The condition of this gambling dice tumbler is good with some oxidation to the metal frame structure but otherwise shows a good overall condition.
