For your consideration is this pair of 19th century copper dovetail, hanging kettles. The kettles both show a continental design to the dovetail joint bodies with hammered and rolled lips on the mouth of the kettles. The larger kettle shows a copper handle, while the smaller kettle shows a wrought iron handle. These hanging kettles would have been used over an open hearth and would hang from a hook. The condition of these hanging kettles is good; the larger kettle shows slight denting to the rolled lip and both kettles show patina on the inside and outside of the kettle. The measurements of these kettles are 7 1/2" x 9" x 7 3/4" and 8" x 10 1/4" x 8 3/4".
