Featured in this lot is this pair of Indian elephant and soldier temple toys circa 19th century. There are two toys in this collection. The first is a ornate elephant with professional etching or carving to the brass giving it a semi realistic look and is mounted on two axles with wheels for children to play during temple. The next shows a scene of three warriors or soldiers on the back of an elephant who is also decorated ornately and is mounted on two axles with wheels. The condition of this collection of temple toys is well preserved with some patina adorning the brass but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this pair of toys is 6 7/8" x 6" x 3" and 7 3/4" x 7 3/8" x 5 1/8". The collective weight of this pair of temple toys is 11lbs.
