Featured in this lot is a 19th century Norwegian hand carved wooden canteen. The canteen features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden and wrought iron construction that shows floral decoration hand carved into the canteen and is unique for the double handle carved into both sides of the spout and shows a flat bottom. The style is consistent with similar 19th century Norwegian stylized carved wooden utensils. The condition of this canteen is well-preserved with a score in the side walling of one of the sides and shows some wear to the wooden body with oxidation to the wrought iron bands but otherwise is preserved. The measurements of this canteen are 6 1/4" x 7 3/8" x 3 1/2". The collective weight of this canteen is 1lb 6oz.*
