Featured in this lot is this William Soutter & Sons and unmarked copper kettles circa 19th century. There are two kettles in this collection. The first is a William Soutter & Sons kettle that shows copper construction with dovetail joints with a hollow handle and a goose neck spout and is marked with the companies hallmark and is marked "4". William Soutter & Sons was a prominent Birmingham, England-based manufacturer, operating from the late 18th century to the early 20th century, known for high-quality copper and brass holloware, including kettles, tea urns, and coal scuttles, as well as electroplating, bronzing, and manufacturing gas and electric light fittings. Founded as Soutter & Hicks around 1760, the firm became a limited company and later closed in 1927. Their items are often marked with the "Soutterware" trademark. The second is an unmarked copper kettle with dove tail joints with a goose neck spout and a hollow handle. The condition of this pair of copper kettles is is well preserved with some patina adorning the kettles outside and inside but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this pair of kettles is 8 1/2" x 9 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 9" x 10 1/4" x 5 1/2". The collective weight of this pair of kettles is 3lb 10oz
