Thsi is an Eastern Woodlands crooked knife and sheath from the 19th-century from the ex-Mickey Taylor / Iron Horse collection, New York. The knife shows a blacksmith forged blade that has a triangle shaped blade with beveled spine. The blade is secured to the carved wood handle with copper telegraph wire wrappings with copper tack and nice green patina. The crooked handle has a effigy head design with carved and notchings. Paired with a harness leather sheath having iron rivets. Provenance: From the ex-collection of Mickey Taylor / Iron Horse New York. Measures overall 8.75-inches long.
