For our bidding pleasure is this 19th Century Folk Art Dancing Cowboy Figure. This dancing cowboy figure is considered a table top puppet due top the rod attached to the back of the figure and the moving legs and arms, also a common characteristic is the table top like paddle underneath the figure. The figure has well crafted characteristics with western style shirt and wild rag, to the chaps with buck stitching down the side. The hat is a bit floppy but has stampede strings tying the hat to this buckaroos head. The paint seems to have abraded from right shoulder with minor wear to shirt front and back but otherwise in good dancing condition. The measurements of this table top puppet are 19" sitting, 9" standing. The paddle measurements are 22 1/4" x 5".
