Included in this lot we have a Folk Art carved cigar store Indian trade sign. The figure is shown in a burgundy outfit with white and gold accents and a dark green belt along with a headdress. The Native American is holding a open box of cigars in his left hand and nothing in his right. The open box shows eight cigars in the bottom with the image of a female portrait with a loin to each side. These carvings would be placed outside of a tobacco outlet, signifying to passerby's that the establishment sold tobacco products. The piece is in fair condition with two large cracks and a few smaller ones. The Indian measures 39 3/4" tall by 11 3/4" wide and 8" deep. Most likely not of a substansial age.
